As joint leader after the first round of the Whittington Ladies Trophy, Charley fought back in tough wind conditions, with three birdies in the last five holes to recover from a series of dropped shots, finishing joint 2nd with three other players.
England international player, Alex Peters, won the event with a score of 145 and was the only player to return a par round throughout the day.
The higher than normal competition scratch for the day meant that Charley reduced her handicap to +0.1 for the first time in her career. However, she reduced it again a few days later in a club medal to +0.4 after a four under par score.
She now moves on to a busy three weeks in which she will play in the Hampshire Rose, the Welsh Ladies Amateur Open and the German Ladies Amateur International Open Dusseldorf Golf Club in early May.
